In 2022, 65% of St John’s expenditure went towards our charitable delivery. The remainder was used to raise funds through our financial investments and our investment properties which are our main source of income as a charity.
St John intends to use its existing investment income to fund its overheads and for donations to be used solely for charitable delivery.
It’s simple – help us spread the word! Many in our community may not be aware of the poverty and deprivation that exist among us. By raising awareness of our efforts and explaining why they are crucial, you can make a significant impact. Share our mission, stories, and goals with your friends, and family, and on social media. Together, we can reach more people and make a difference to the lives of those who need it the most.

Gift Aid is a simple scheme that allows charities to recover the tax already paid on donations made in the last four years at no extra cost to you. By reclaiming tax from Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC), Gift Aid is a great way for you to help St John’s maximise the value of its donations. That means that every £1 you donate could be worth an extra 25 pence to us.
