  • St John’s Foundation relocates to Queen Square!

St John’s Foundation has relocated its offices to no. 1 Queen Square, with the move marking an exciting new chapter for the charity.

Over the next three years, St John’s Foundation is investing £5 million into creating new almshouses and refurbishing existing homes, continuing its long-standing mission to support older adults in the community. When the project is complete, up to 15 new safe and affordable homes will be created, bringing the total number of almshouses to around 109 and making St John’s Foundation one of the largest providers nationally.

The move from the original Chapel Court based offices was driven by the need for space for the new development. By relocating to Queen Square, St John’s Foundation can turn its former office space into much-needed homes for people aged 65 and over who are facing financial hardship.

The new office offers a modern and collaborative space for staff to work together day to day. It also sits alongside the House of St John’s, a co-working and events space run by the charity’s trading company, opening up more opportunities for partnership and community engagement.

This relocation is about far more than a new workspace. It reflects a clear and practical step towards meeting the growing need for affordable housing in Bath. With the almshouse development well underway and expected to be completed by 2027, St John’s is proud to continuing to make a lasting difference for local people.
