Sometimes life can throw challenges that are hard to manage alone. Rising bills, illness, a relationship breakdown or losing a job can quickly put a household under pressure.
Through our Crisis Programme, we provide one-off grants to people and families across Bath and North East Somerset. These grants help cover essential items and support that allows life to keep moving forward.
What we can help support you with
- Rent arrears
- Utility bill arrears
- Council tax arrears
- White goods (for example fridges or washing machines)
- Furniture and essential household items
- Removal costs
- Household repairs and decoration
- Bankruptcy or debt relief order fees
- Courses or qualifications that support employment
- Counselling or mentoring
- Funeral expenses
What we cannot help fund
- Loans
- Court fines
- Deposits or rent in advance
- Costs that have already been paid before approval
- Gap year projects
- Gifts or holidays
- Vet bills or pet-related costs
- Legal aid
- Business start-up costs
- Flooring (except in certain circumstances)
- Credit card or store card debt
