How we are funded

St John’s Foundation has supported people in Bath for over 850 years. Over that time, people have chosen to leave property, land and gifts to St John’s because they believe in the work we do. We are incredibly fortunate to have received this support, and we take seriously the responsibility of managing these assets.

Our property portfolio and financial investments have supported our charitable work for generations and continue to fund it today. This long-term stewardship means St John’s does not rely on public fundraising to operate. Instead, we can focus our resources on delivering support to the community while carefully managing the assets entrusted to us.

We recognise how fortunate we are to be in this position, and we remain committed to using these resources responsibly, so they continue to benefit people in Bath for generations to come.
