Here at St John’s, the Trustees and Executive Team wish to involve volunteers in the services we provide to enhance the work St John’s delivers and to assist with meeting our charitable vision and purpose.
People volunteer for many different reasons: to offer expertise, develop skills, gain experience, socialise and to give something back to their community. They may also volunteer because they have a personal link to a particular cause.
Our volunteers provide a range of services which include a wealth of skills, experiences and, sometimes, new perspectives to complement and enhance the services provided by our employees.
We believe volunteers are essential to the current operation and future needs of St John’s. They help us provide additional support and services to our residents and offer a means of engaging directly with the community. In turn, St John’s Foundation gives people the opportunity to support a local charity with their gift of time and valuable skills.
If you would like to enquire about volunteering at St John’s and the current opportunities available, please get in touch with our Head of Care and Community Services, Lynn Toman on 01225 486402 or firstname.lastname@example.org or our Community Outreach Service Manager, Ricky Bush on 01225 486453 or email@example.com.
